Ireland and Leinster number eight Caelan Doris has been announced as the new ambassador for JFW Renewables, a leading solar panel installation company for homes, businesses and farms.
The Galway-based company, established in 2020, has enjoyed 700% growth and now installs 40 solar PV systems per week. JFW Renewables also sponsors Premier Sports' coverage of the Ultimate Rugby Championship.
Ballina native Doris made his debut for Leinster in 2018 and earned his first Ireland cap two years later. He has represented Ireland 36 times to date and was a fixture of the team during the recent Rugby World Cup.
Doris was awarded Rugby Players Ireland Men’s Players’ Player of the Year this year, and he was also named in the Rugby World Cup Dream Team of the Year.
“I’m delighted to become an ambassador for JFW Renewables, the work which they have been doing across Ireland in recent years to make our country more sustainable is incredible," said Doris.
"I think as a nation, we’re becoming more and more aware of how important the environment is and how we can make changes now in order to ensure the future of this island for generations to come.
"I’m very proud to be associated with JFW Renewables and look forward to working with them to make Ireland greener.”
Gearoid Whelan, founder and managing director of JFW Renewables, said: "It is brilliant to be associated with a superb young rugby player like Caelan. Like our journey within the solar energy sector, Caelan has had a terrific start to his rugby career.
"We’ve been watching closely over the past few seasons as Caelan has announced himself on the world stage and made the number 8 jersey for both Leinster and Ireland his own.
"All of us here at JFW Renewables are thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both him and this partnership.”
JFW renewables offers free, no-obligation consultations and affordable packages of solar PV systems, which provide annual savings of up to 70% on domestic electricity bills.
