The well-liked son of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Daniel Duncan-Williams, has explained his six-month hibernation.
He made this statement while disclosing that he had just returned from rehab after marijuana almost destroyed his life. Daniel claimed that his marijuana addiction had crippling effects on him that nearly destroyed his mental and emotional stability. He said,
“The reason you haven’t been seeing me for the past six months is because I have been working on myself and I sent myself to rehab. Six months ago, I realized that I have a problem. I realized that I wasn’t thinking or processing well and my mind was just absolutely messed up due to marijuana,” he established.
Daniel, the last son of the founder of Action Chapel, announced his return on social media, saying that even though the journey had been difficult, it had been worthwhile.
Although it was a difficult process, I made it through. I visited Compassion Rehab in Prampram, Ghana, where my dad was staying. Thank God, my mind is back, even though it was not the easiest thing to do. I want to reassure my family that this new path I have chosen is my new way of life, and I intend to maintain it. Dee Wills and Daniel Williams is back. Thank you,” he added.
Daniel had previously accused his father of being a demon on social media because, following his threat to leave the family, the father had paid the police to arrest him. Among other things, he posted nude videos of himself having sex with women.
He also said the nude videos were his way of staying true to himself and connecting with his fans. Daniel apologized to his father in public following the multiple scandals. Since then, he has been seen repeatedly admonishing his friends on social media to stay away from drugs and other vices.
