Our first celebrity to dissect is the tall, giant gentleman who gained widespread recognition from the film Spartacus. Peter, a 6’3? Ghanaian-English actor, was born on August 27, 1959. He is most known for his roles in Sleepy Hollow, Avatar, 300, Tears of the Sun, and the Starz original series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance.

Although he was born in Ghana, at a young age he moved to Hertfordshire, England, with his mother, a writer, and two younger sisters, his father being an engineer. He started learning martial arts at the age of 6. As an acknowledged native, Mensah traveled to Ghana in grief for his father.

She is an English actress of Ghanaian descent who is known for playing Martha Jones and Adeola Oshodi in the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, Sex and the City, etc.

Freema is a model and a singer as well. Her parents, Osei and Azar Agyeman were Ghanaian and Iranian, respectively, and she was born into their family. Leila and Dominic, his two siblings, are also alive.

4. Jaye Davidson

Davidson was born on March 21, 1968, in Riverside, California, to a Ghanaian father and an English mother. He was raised in Borehamwood in HertfordshireEngland. He is a model, fashion stylist, and retired actor. Davidson came out openly as gay.

Joey Ansah was born on November 24, 1982, in Hammersmith, London, England. With his mother, Nicola, hailing from Plymouth, Devon, England, and his father, Kofi Ansah, a fashion designer from Ghana, he is a mixed-race child. The family then emigrated to Accra, Ghana.

He attended private school at Oakfield School and then at Dulwich College Prep. His passion for acting and martial arts developed during their early years in London, when he began to watch films starring Jackie Chan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ramobo Bruce Lee, and other actors. He enrolled in the neighborhood Tae Kwon Do school, where he spent four years training. He got caught up in the hip-hop dance frenzy going on at the Ghanaian school.

Ansah makes his big screen debut in the 2005 film Batman Begins as a stuntman. He has also acted in several TV shows and motion pictures, including the independent UK film Love Struck, the BBC series Timewatch, and the film Spooks.

He was featured in popular Hollywood movies such as The Bourne Ultimatum. Joey was later nominated for an MTV award in the ‘Best Fight’ category. He choreographed, co-wrote, and directed the 2010 short film Street Fighter: Legacy.

Joey went on to create two more Street Fighter films: Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist (2014) and Street Fighter: Resurrection (2016). He also had a few small roles in Mission: Impossible: Fallout and Aladdin, in addition to being a policeman in Attack the Block and Aldan in Snow White and the Huntsman.
