Reigning Ghana Premier League club Medeama on Friday 29th December 2023 announced the departure of the two players on the club's social media channels.
The Yellow and Mauve are starting to clear out players ahead of their involvement in the second transfer window.
According to the club's bankroller Moses Parker, they will try and buy four or five players to strengthen the club in their ongoing CAF Champions League campaign and also their participation in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
The club's official statement reads: "Departures!!. We have mutually parted ways with midfielder Agyei Boakye and defender Richard Akrofi.
We thank Agyei and Richard for their contributions to the club. We wish them well!"
Midfielder Richard Akrofi 31, made one appearance in the league, and 24-year-old midfielder Agyei Boakye did not make any appearance.
Medeama SC will clash with Karela United on Saturday 30th December at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
