Aduana FC have moved to second place with their 3-1 win over Dreams FC at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park on Sunday in match week 17 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Ahead of the final game of the first round, the Fire boys were third on the league log but are now second with 30 points while the Still Believe lads dropped from 15th into the relegation spot with 15 points from 13 games – with four outstanding games.
Yaw Acheampong’s side took the lead in the six minutes after the half hour mark through Kelvin Obeng’s goal.
That means the Fire boys went into the break with a 1-0 advantage.
Four minutes after recess, Karim Zito’s men levelled the score through teen sensation Abdul Aziz Issah.
Bright Adjei grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and bagged a late hat trick to secure victory for Aduana.
He netted the first of his three goals in the 75th minute before adding the second four minutes later in the 79th minute.
Adjei then wrapped up the his hat trick in the third minute of stoppage time.
