Brino AC is one in a series of four Tactical Armor sets put out by NifeliZ. Each kit retails for $24.99 and lets you build an original mech design! While the boxes are small, the end result is a cool looking mech that stands about 8 inches tall and is fully articulated!

Each box is the same aside from the highlight photo. The box seems small for what you are getting, but it's because most of the 650 or so pieces are small. There were no missing parts and the bricks were of super high quality. This one is a smidge taller than the other kits in the series.

Unlike other sets, these baggies are not in any order of assembly, so you have to sort them before building (unless you are some kind of monster).

Brino AC

This kit looks great, but there are some delicate connection parts. More than with any other kit in this series, I found that while posing this I would frequently knock off various parts. Problem areas were the shoulder missile banks, the moveable armor on the sides of the hips, the top section of the head and some core body parts.

Brino AC

It does LOOK great though, and as a display model it is a success. It is just not a very good plaything.

Brino AC

The chest uses an interesting system of dual hinges - one to angle down the chest part, and then another tilting up section in the middle. The head is on a ball joint, but it's that top section that can come off easily when posing.

Brino AC

The torso has a abdomen cruch, and a waist swivel. The entire waist assembly is very narrow with 1-stud connection points at the rear skirt armor which also fall off too often for my liking. The hips are the same ball joint assembly and while nice looking, does not provide as much support for posing. This feels like a heavier model, and its prone to tipping at the hips if not posed just right.

Brino AC

For armament there is a giant shield called the "Composte Armor Shield" and a rifle called the "M160 Beam Rifle". The shield can be detached from the arm and stored on the back.

The entire back section is moveable on 2 ball joints, and the large white things and the thrusters are also movable. In Gundam, those white things are usually either thrusters or handles for Beam Sabers. Here, their purpose is unknown.

Brino AC

There are three movable thrusters on the back of each leg. There is a LOT of articulation in this model. The challenge is to have the patience and a delicate hand to pose it and not lose any parts off of it. Success is rewarded with a beautiful pose.

One thing I noticed with all of these builds is that there is a hole at the bottom of the waist that I think is there to attach to a stand - but of course a stand is not included with the set. So I did what any builder would do - I made my own! Just to be clear - this is not included with the set, and I do not have the plans to make this. But if you have the parts you should try to make one. This thing looks GREAT posed on a stand!

Overall it's another great mech kit from NifeliZ, you can get yours here.
