Last Thursday, Hasbro held another G.I. Joe livestream, their last Joe livestream for the year, and announced several new figures and pre-orders to celebrate G.I. Joe’s 60th anniversary next year.

The name-only reveals were:

I am not all that familiar with these characters, even from my faint memory of collecting G.I. Joe figures from my childhood, but I do like the look of these and would be very keen to see how they look in the Classified line. I think we’ll see these sometime early next year.

Starduster Nemesis Immortal Leatherneck Zandar

Nine new figures went up for pre-order which I was excited about, these had only been revealed as scans during Toy Fair. They are:

When I saw these figures I was gobsmacked and over the moon! What’s even more incredible is that they are all still available to pre-order on Hasbro Pulse!

Retro Duke Retro Scarlett Retro Recondo 60th Anniversary Action Soldier 60th Anniversary Recon Diver Techno Viper Airbourne Quick Kick Big Boa

I can honestly say the scans didn’t do the figures justice as they look far better than the scans, and the galleries showcase the figures very well. I was looking forward to the Retro Duke & Scarlett. They looked incredible and I dig the packaging art as well. They come chock full of accessories and interchangeable hands which is a staple of the Retro line. I like the deco to Recondo as well.

I was very intrigued when I saw the 60th Anniversary Action Soldier & Recon Diver which are great army builders. They come with plenty of interchangeable parts including heads, hands, and armor pieces which was quite unexpected. They come with a lot of weaponry as well and I have pre-ordered two Action Soldiers already.

I like the mix of hand-to-hand combatants and technically adept characters. The Techno Viper, Big Boa, and Swift Kick are my favorite new figures. They come with interchangeable hands and heads and are packed with plenty of articulation to get in great fighting poses. Heck Swift Kick comes with a bar of chocolate. The Techno Viper looks great the purple pops as well and the holograph attachment looks marvelous. The figures are expected to be released in the spring of next year.
