I’m a huge horror fan, and I owe it all to Rich Koz, aka, Svengoolie! I saw my very first horror movie on his show back in 1984, and I’ve been a fan of both him and the genre since. Last Friday we had him at the comic shop my brother runs, Aw Yeah Comics in downtown Skokie, just outside Chicago, for a signing of his new comic Svengoolie: Lost in Time. As a toy designer I wanted to make him something that was unique and meant as much to me as he did. So, I hand sculpted, painted, and carded this Svengoolie figure! I wanted to go with a big nostalgia kick, and went with his original Son of Svengoolie attire, and designed the card as an homage to the 1980 Remco Universal Monsters toy line.
