Introducing the first-ever ADHD Teens Conference in Ireland, a groundbreaking event dedicated to promoting inclusion and acceptance among young people living with ADHD.

Teen Conference schedule includes:

ADHD life experience talks by those living with ADHD, self-development workshops exploring sleep & self-care & RSD, ADHD Coaching with Ailin Kennedy exploring executive functions & organisation, friendships and motivation, complimented by Zumba sessions and a sensory room facilitated by local Additional Needs Support Service, All Abilities Ireland.

When: 20th of November 2023 Time: 9:30 – 3:30pm Where: Midlands Park Hotel Portalaoise Fee: FREE

“With 5% of our population living with ADHD and 10% having a neurodiverse condition like ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia etc this conference aims to create a supportive and empowering environment for young people to build acceptance around ADHD by providing them with valuable tools, knowledge-sharing opportunities and a platform to connect & make new friends. This is a groundbreaking event in Ireland to build ADHD acceptance & understanding among young people. It’s a fun and educational experience for all young students to learn about the condition for themselves, especially those who may be struggling without a diagnosis too.” said Nicola Coss ADHD Ireland National Programme Development Manager.

In a world that often struggles to understand the unique challenges faced by individuals living with neurodiverse conditions, this conference will serve as a beacon of hope and change. By fostering an atmosphere of understanding through knowledge, the event seeks to break down barriers and eliminate the stigma surrounding ADHD.

The importance of inclusion cannot be overstated. It is essential that these young people feel heard and supported on their journey towards self-discovery and personal growth. This conference will provide them with access to expert speakers who will share insights into managing ADHD effectively while celebrating the strengths that come along with it, building towards a future free of stigma and misunderstanding.

This time, we invited students whose teachers completed our ongoing ADHD School Accreditation Programme and became ADHD Friendly Schools but also welcome local young people once registered by a parent in advance as places are limited” said Terri Lloyd – Programme Development Manager.
