We finished October with tons of fun! The boys dressed up for their Halloween Day at school, and Savannah went to spend it with them. Little Bubs spent the day with us on Monday. Leilei helped her mom cook. Scottie and Lennox went to see the scarecrows in town... enjoying the holiday~
For Halloween, we celebrated Pumpkin Day with our lil' punkin and all the pumpkin books~
When I taught school way back in the day, we made thumbkin pumpkin pies, and we made them for a delicious little treat~
Then we copied a poem and watercolored~
Sweet baby was right in it all with us. I love that she's starting to play with all the things she likes (look, mama, the stuff you brought)~
We even brought the pumpkin in to carve. EC suggested a cat, so we carved it on the green side, and it turned out SO cool~
More beautiful art tucked into their art journals. I hope they love these one day when they are all grown up! It makes me so happy to see them enjoy this Tuesday's practice~
We needed another baby gate, so made use of the hexagon, and we roasted the pumpkin seeds, which I LOVE~
Later that evening, we met Rosie, Leighton, and Jason's family to walk around to let the little littles trick or treat. Most have outgrown this sweet tradition but are not too old to enjoy the ones that still do~
Little Minnie~
I LOVE this photo of Papa and Leilei strolling down the street~
Wednesday, we had Scottie and Lennox! Scottie and EC made playdough, an excellent activity for the entire day. Once I looked over and CA was reading to Bubs~
November brought our new monthly things like a devotional plan with scripture and questions. Also, we enjoyed singing our new hymn and reading the new poem. We all have a Write the Word sheet each month, which we look up, copy, and highlight in our Bibles for personal quiet times. It's such a sweet practice, and commonplace journals are full of God's words. I pray they are written on each heart as well~
We traded all the pumpkin books for our Thanksgiving ones~
More things that they love are magnatiles and making MORE playdough~
For science/nature, we combined RAR and No Sweat by reading Nell Plants a Tree and notebooked the life cycle of an oak tree. EC went out to collect acorns and put them in water to spout so we can plant them~
Snack after nap ?~
Playing while waiting on Mama to come~
And Friday, we pulled out all the Christmas Joy, made brownies for a bake sale, and made new table florals~
There is nothing much more exciting to me than decorating for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing left to do is our big tree, which we will get right before Thanksgiving ~?
And like mother, like daughter... decorating and making little ones smile ear to ear~
November... is the Best! The Best time of the year until December ??
