Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest is open for submission. Now in its 20th year, the contest seeks the best humor poems with the 1st prize being $2000 and a two-year gift certificate from Duotrope.
The contest which opened in August, 2020 is seeking both published and unpublished work. There is no entry fee required when submitting.
The judging panel consists Jendi Reiter and Lauren Singer Ledoux as an assistant.
Prizes:
First Prize: $2,000 plus a two-year gift certificate from Duotrope (a $100 value)Second Prize: $500Honorable Mentions: 10 awards of $100 eachTop 12 entries published onlineSubmission guidelines:
One poem per authorLength limit: 250 lines maximumNo restriction on age of authorAuthors from all countries eligible except Syria, Iran, North Korea, and Crimea (due to US government restrictions)The poem you submit should be in English.
