The city of Detroit often faces a lot of scrutiny, due to its reputation. A decade ago, the city went bankrupt. When this news hit, people flocked to the city to see its abandonment. Much of Detroit is abandoned, so the city has been in flux. However, when Detroit was at its peak, this is where all of the cool people, and high rollers roamed. Many of the men dressed very nicely, often rocking furs. Some older men from that generation brought that swag to a funeral.

Detroit is a city with a rich history that’s played a critical role in American history. First of all, the advancements in vehicles all stem from Detroit. Starting with Ford, cars were primarily made here for over a century. After that, Berry Gordy launched Motown Records in the city of Detroit. As a result, many of the first major R&B and soul stars hailed from the Motor City. So, a lot of the swagger and cool styles originally came from the D.

A group of older men from that Motown generation proved Detroit still has swag. Apparently, there was a funeral that took place. These men were clearly outside of a church and they were dressed to the nines, very stylishly. The phrase “Detroit playas” was made up for guys that dress like this. So, these guys brought that style out, and it was a major throwback. As a result, the people have made the photo of these men one of the leading trending topics.
