Dr. Zachary Zimmer and a number of his international collaborators held a dissemination seminar for the “Vietnam Health and Aging Study,” in Hanoi, Vietnam on July 4, 2023. The seminar was held at the Hanoi Medical University. There were over 50 attendees from various sectors including medical, government, academia, and the press. Dr. Zimmer and other speakers provided background and presented key study findings. The study examines the long-term impacts of the war stress and trauma experienced during the Vietnam War in the 1960’s and 1970’s on aging and health of the current generation of older Vietnamese.
