This year has seen several changes in the aviation market down under, with ultra-low-cost-carrier Bonza breaking into the Australian aviation scene, alongside once regional carrier Rex, growing in popularity as a commuter airline between some of Australia's biggest cities. Across the ditch, Air New Zealand continues to be the major player in the New Zealand aviation market, and September 2023 marked the carrier's first 12 months of direct services to the Big Apple.
