Stepping onto an Iberia Airlines flight on Christmas Eve was like entering a mini festive bubble at 30,000 feet above ground! Yesterday I flew on one of their A330s from Madrid to Panama City, and I wanted to share my experience with the airline’s holiday touches onboard. No frills, just a down-to-earth take on how Iberia brought a touch of holiday cheer to my business class adventure.
This year the airline is offering this special Holidays service on long-haul flights departing on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1st (accoring to the cabin crew). Here are some pictures of my experience!
The first hint of the festive season onboard was the charming printed menu booklet, entirely decked out in holiday spirit.
The food choices had a Christmas touch, featuring a stuffed turkey dish and a chocolate holiday-inspired dessert—both of which I opted for.
Service kicked off with a warm towel and an appetizer. I went for the Manchego cheese tapa paired with an outstanding Rioja white wine.
In addition to the special menu, Iberia infused some festive vibes into their service. One delightful touch was a playful rendition of their “Meninas” salt and pepper shakers, revamped in holiday colors for a cheerful in-flight experience.
In essence, my Christmas Eve journey with Iberia was a festive escapade above the clouds. From the holiday-inspired menu featuring turkey and delectable desserts to the charmingly reimagined “Meninas” shakers and the inclusion of quintessential Spanish nougat and marzipan, the airline transformed the flight into a seasonal celebration.
