When the C919 program was announced in 2008, there was a lot of buzz within the aviation industry. Everyone wanted the aircraft to disrupt the duopoly that Airbus and Boeing held on the commercial jetliner market. Fifteen years later, the C919 has entered service and is on its way to do so slowly.
