Alaska Airlines on December 27, 2023 took delivery of its first Boeing 737-8 MAX 8.

The pictured N801AK (msn 67802) departed Boeing Field (BFI) in Seattle for Oakland as flight AS9801. It will be prepared for EIS operations before entering revenue service.

In other news, the University of Washington chartered two Alaska Airlines aircraft (N440AS and N963AK) to take the football team, band, cheerleaders, and staff to New Orleans on December 26, from BFI for the Sugar Bowl and the College Football Playoff semifinals.
