Air Tindi de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter with skis made a forced landing in poor weather on December 27 in northern Canada.

The aircraft was on a flight from Yellowknife, NT to a frozen lake with 8 passengers and 2 crew members.

The Twin Otter was forced to land about 16 km (8.6 nm) southeast of the Diavik Diamond Mine.

There were reports of 8 being injured. 

The occupants were rescued by three helicopters and transported to the Diavik mine for treatments.
