A scrapped ex-Air India Airbus A320 fuselage became stuck under a road bridge in India as it was being transported to a new home.
The former Air India A320 was taken out of service in 2021 but had recently been bought at auction by a businessman.
The fuselage was being transferred from the Indian city of Mumbai to Assam where it is set to be transformed into an aircraft-themed restaurant.
The aircraft shell was being carried on a large truck on December 29, 2023, when a miscalculation meant that the fuselage became wedged under Motihari’s Piprakothi bridge.
Crowds gathered to watch the spectacle as attempts were made to free both plane and truck from under the bridge.
According to local media, the vehicle was eventually freed and continued its journey towards Assam.
