The best DIY winter drinks.

Whether for a winter walk in the snow, cosy evenings in front of the fireplace or even at the family celebration, we have a selection of winter drinks for you that should not be missing in the cold season.

When it’s cold and grey outside, you feel like being cosy and warm. With a warm drink, you not only warm your body and soul, but also brighten your mood when snow and ice are up to their mischief outside.

Mulled wine and Feuerzangenbowle are of course the absolute classics among hot drinks for winter. But for all those who would like to try something new, we have three delicious drinks that will put a smile on your face and warm your heart even in the cold season. Our recipes are easy to make at home

Mulled Gin

Mulled Gin is the perfect alternative for those who have had enough of mulled wine or simply want to try something different. The heart-warming gin is perfect as a companion for a long walk in the snow or a cosy evening at home.

Ingredients:

500ml Dry Gin1000ml orange juice600ml apple juicegingerGarnish: Cinnamon sticks, cloves, apples, oranges

Preparation:

Peel ginger and cut into small pieces.Slice apple and orangePut the orange juice and apple juice in a pot, add the chopped ingredients as well as the cinnamon sticks and cloves. Now add half the gin and heat everything over a medium heat for 15 min.Stir occasionally and add the rest of the gin after a while.

Our tip:

Try Elephant Strength Gin for your mulled gin. With its unusual African ingredients, it brings variety into the glass and makes for a very special drinking experience. Because the heat and the fruity addition allow these flavours to develop even better.

Lumumba

From the fruity gin pleasure we come to the perfect drink for all chocolate fans. Next to mulled wine, Lumumba is a classic at the Christmas market. We show you how to easily recreate this heavenly sweet drink at home.

Ingredients:

400ml milk50g milk chocolatecocoa powderWhipped cream80ml rummarshmallows

Preparation:

Crush the chocolateBring milk to the boilAdd chocolate and cocoaWhen the chocolate has completely melted, add the rumDecorate with cream, cocoa and marshmallows as desired

Gin and Juice

Another fruity alternative to mulled wine is Gin and Juice. Similar to mulled gin, the fruity flavours of juice meet the unique juniper taste of gin. With Gin & Juice, you can achieve a different flavour depending on what you combine the gin with.

Ingredients:
