Our local AQ Multi Service Centres provide a restorative and wellness approach enabling older people to remain at home and engaged within their community longer.
At Alzheimer’s Queensland (AQ) we recognise the significance of aging well and offer exceptional aged-care services dedicated to enhancing the well-being of both you and your loved one. Our compassionate support and specialised care are available to people living with dementia and the frail aged, as well as those over 65 years seeking social and community engagement.
AQ works with our clients, their families, and carers to pursue pleasurable, active, and independent lives, to maintain their dignity, and remain socially and physically active. Daily activities are available at our Centres and out and about within the local community. Our staff support participation in social and meaningful activities, outings, community functions, and local clubs tailored to meet individual interests. Our restorative and wellness approach also includes tailored programs and allied health ageing well services (i.e., physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, and more).
AQ’s Multi Service Centres operate out of several beautiful residences offering a safe, secure, and homely environment where you or your loved one can stay short term in comfort and dignity. Day and overnight stays are available. Respite services also allow carers to recharge whilst knowing their loved one is in capable and understanding care.
Services can be accessed under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP).
You will need an aged care assessment and may be asked to contribute a basic daily care fee and an income-tested fee determined by the Department of Human Services (call 1800 227 475 for advice). AQ also offers privately
funded services.
