Rely is the debut single from Nashville-based project horsebread, displaying a radiant and emotive rock sound with moments of darker captivation. The self-produced single is described as about the white-washed promise of religion or a systemic set of rules to live life by, per horsebread, which comprises Andrew Frazier (bass/keys) and Sam McLeod (vocals/guitar). They have been both involved with many touring acts, and are now embarking on their own project with horsebread.

A warming vocal presence complements glistening guitars, as vocals let out you can rely on me, upon reflective guitar chimes. The opening proves inviting in its caressing vocal presence, descending in pitch with an eerier impact past the 30-second mark. A burgeoning guitar-forward momentum appears alongside, with the vocals attaining a soaring quality at the one-minute turn with shades of Jeff Buckley. A moodier alt-rock bridge in the final minute dont speak, dont change, also further showcases the acts structural versatility. Rely is a winning debut from horsebread.
