President, Women's Ministries, Diocese of Owerri, Mrs. Chidiebere Oparah has noted that love is the character and heartbeat of God, thus, enjoining everyone to show love for God and their neighbours.

The wife of Bishop Chukwuma Chinekezi Oparah PhD stated this while giving her Presidential Address during the just concluded 22nd biennial Diocesan Women's Guild Conference held at Avu Archdeaconry. Between 6-9th December, 2018

Mrs. Oparah said; "All that God does is love, if He provides or judges, He does it all in love. God is more than love. Because of His love and compassion, He sent His only begotten Son to die for us sinners; what a sacrificial love."

She added that we can benefit from God's love only when His love is eminent in our lives and that we must love the Lord with all our hearts and might.

The president who took her text from 1John 4:8 concluded by saying that "its only sin that can debar us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. If you want to benefit from the love of God, you must be in Jesus; Do you think His love cannot locate you? His grace is sufficient."

The Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Oparah, who preached at the Sunday thanksgiving service encouraged the women to imbibe the characteristics of love and put into practice all that has been learnt in the conference.

The host Archdeacon, Ven. Mike Amadi welcome the delegates to the conference. He urged the women to work with all they will be taught as children of God waiting for His return.

Highlights of the event include, Reading of Reports, Health talk, Teachings, Bible Study , Presidential Address and Thanksgiving by various Archdeaconries.
