Ella is a 3 year old female Miniature Poodle being fostered in adult home with other dogs and visiting grandchildren in Gloucestershire.

Ella came into our care after doing her 7 days at a Council Stray Pound – we know she was on the run for 9 days before she was caught.

Poor Ella was in such poor state when she arrived with her overgrown matted coat and we were half expecting her to really nervous but no she was so happy – running around the garden with Rosie the Lab who came that day I think they were so happy to be free.

The first hours in our care her & Rosie were just loving life and played so nicely together

She was so patient while we groomed and bathed her such a good little dog.

Being groomed that first day

Ella has a lovely temperament with people and other dogs she has a real sunny personality always happy and bouncy.

She has been out for walks and enjoys them not really that fazed outside.

Playing with her toys

We think she has had one litter looking at her – she has now been spayed and had a hernia repaired.

Travelling in the car worries her at the moment but she has probably not been used to it so we are working on this.

Ella is an active little soul, will need an active home with another dog for her to play with would be perfect, we have not had her off the lead yet but she has been over the secure field and just loved running around chasing her ball.

Over the secure field

Someone who has had rescue dogs before and understands the time, patience they need – remember although she seems very easy – she was on the run for 9 days – she gets worried when her foster mum leaves her and will bark but we are working on this – its very early days and she has so obviously not be loved as she should be.

She loves sleeping on the bed at night, bright little dog would probably be a potential agility dog or similar, she needs a happy home, adult home only as a stray so we have no history but she has met the grandchildren and was good as gold with them.

Loves a fuss

Can bounce high

Ella will be vaccinated, chipped, spayed etc before leaving our care.
