Otaku Fanatic

We have heard an anime with a strong, overpowered male lead who has all the girls swooning over him. Tomo Chan is here to break all the stereotypes.

The writer and illustrator of Tomo Chan is a Girl, Yamada Fumita, who has changed the game of stronger MC. Tomo is a girl with huge amounts of physical strength; she can easily beat men in combat, has a great sense of morals and personality, and has a cute face and physique that even girls around Tomo get swayed by her charms.

The catch?

Her love interest Jun took her whole-hearted love confession as a best friend bonding session, and he can't seem to see her as a woman.

Now Tomo and her best friends are on a mission to girly-fy Tomo so that her best friend will recognise Tomo as a girl. The series is filled with cute attempts by Tomo and her best friends Carol and Misuzu to get Jun's attention with a strong sense of self-discovery and friendship.

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku

Otaku Fanatic

A mixture of darkness, fantasy, adventure, and love, Hell's Paradise is perfect if you are looking for animes like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer.

A periodic anime set in the Edo period of Japan, it revolves around Japan's greatest assassin, Gabimaru the Hollow.

Gabimaru was betrayed by his clan and sentenced to be executed. After endless attempts to execute Gabimaru, the higher-ups notice his ability to withstand immense physical pain and damage (He is even named “The one who cant be killed “). He is offered a pardon for all his crimes and promised to return to his loving wife. To earn his pardon, Gabimaru has to travel to an isolated toxic island Shinsenkyo, collect the magic elixir of eternal life, and bring it back.

The best anime of 2023 with a new touch of ninjitsu and horror, a great mixture of fantasy and supernatural for all the horror fans to watch.

Oshi No Ko

Otaku Fanatic

Behind all the charisma and fame hides your favourite TV idol’s deepest and darkest secrets. This murder mystery is based on Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's popular manga of 2023.

The dynamic and setting of the story on Oshi no ko are twisted for some of us. It starts with the hiatus of Japan's famous idol and sensation, Ai Hoshino, due to an unexpected

pregnancy. She moves away to the countryside for her hiatus and pregnancy. Her doctor, a die-hard fan of Ai, is killed mysteriously and reincarnated as one of Ai's twins with his memories intact. The other twin is also a reincarnation of a terminal illness patient who is also a fan.

The first episode is 80 minutes long! But the twist at the end of the first episode is worth every minute. The anime is available to stream on Netflix and HIDIVE.

Yamada-Kun To Lv999 No Koi Wo Suru!

Otaku Fanatic

Yamada-Kun To Lv999 No Koi Wo Suru! has everything needed for a great romance anime for gamers. If you enjoy anime like Love is Hard for an Otaku, this is the best anime to watch in 2023.

Skip and Loafer

Otaku Fanatic

The best part 2023 anime watch list is all the cute school life and romance anime we got this year. Skip and Loafer is all about two completely different personalities clashing in the best possible way.

The story follows an ambitious overachiever, Mitsumi Iwakura, who worked hard to get into a prestigious high school in Tokyo but isn't ready for the chaos of city life. Her first day of school starts enthusiastically but soon weights down on her with a public transit issue — thankfully, a classmate is there to help.

Sosuke Shima is best described as a nice guy who is handsome, popular, and incredibly laidback, he met Mitsumi sulking in the corner of the subway, and since they had matching uniforms, he guided the way.

The unlikely friendship between a go-getter, enthusiastic Mitsumi, and a patient and laidback Shima is a great twist for a school-life romance. Shima may be a heartthrob for all the girls, but for Mitsumi, his heart is naturally drawn towards her because of her genuine, hardworking personality.

The anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll.

Buddy Daddies

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Otaku Fanatic

Jujutsu Kaisen is back with a new season, picking up from the momentum of the Origin of Obedience arc, where season one ends while being beautifully animated and loved deeply by the fans to watch moment by moment.

The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu arc follows Gojo's past. The arc unfolds Geto's journey from protecting the non-sorcerers to setting the course to brewing a deep-rooted hatred for them.

The season will be aired in two parts; after the release of the Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu arc, the show will go on a short break till August 31st and return with the other half featuring the Shibuya Incident arc.

To tell the truth, talking too much about the plot of JJK risks the plot being spoiled. The hype created by Jujutsu Kaisen characters has the whole fandom in its grasp. It wouldn't be the best-rated anime to watch in 2023 if it wasn't a complete masterpiece animation-wise and story-wise, and as far as the end of the season is concerned, the fans are promised exciting twists and revelations to chew on!

The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix.

Otaku Fanatic

What if the world is in the middle of an apocalypse? What would be your bucket list?

Written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata, the anime's protagonist is tangled up in a company that exploits its employees and juices them till they retire. Akira is too exhausted, even as a newcomer in the industry.

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Wander Through the Labyrinth

Otaku Fanatic

Isekai world is taking charge of the anime world. As the unspoken rule of the isekai world, you become what you hate. A similar thing happened here as well.

The protagonist in this anime is a vending machine. How, you ask? The protagonist, Boxxo, dies from an unfortunate encounter with a vending machine that flies off a truck and crashes face-first into Boxxo; he then gets reincarnated into another world as a vending machine.

The anime circle's around Boxxo, who now lives as a vending machine to provide the best customer service.

The better Boxxo sells the items, the more points it collects and levels up.
