A new PV trailer for the currently airing Shangri-La Frontier anime series has been revealed, showcasing its upcoming broadcast schedule and new opening and ending themes. The anime first premiered on October 1, 2023 and will run for a total of 25 episodes.
There will be no new broadcast of the anime on December 31, 2023. The series will continue with the 14th episode on January 7, 2024, before taking a break on the week of January 14, 2023 in lieu of special programming. Episode 15 will then air on January 21, 2024.
Meanwhile, the new opening theme for the second cour is “Danger Danger” by FZMZ feat. icy and the new ending theme is “Gajumaru ~Heaven in the Rain~” by ReoNa.
Aside from Crunchyroll, Shangri-La Frontier is also streaming on Bilibili and the Muse Asia YouTube channel outside of Japan.
Toshiyuki Kubooka (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) is serving as director, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Ayumi Kurashima (Nomad: Megalo Box 2 character designer) as character designer and chief animation director, and MONACA (Assassins Pride) as music composer. C2C is handling the animation production for the series.
Other staff include Hiroki Ikeshita (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina storyboarder and episode director) as assistant director, Satoshi Sakai (The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light action animation director) as action and effects animator, Masato Takagi (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina) as color designer, and Hikaru Yamamoku (ONE PIECE Vol.100/Ep.1000 Celebration Movies “WE ARE ONE.” assistant photography director) as compositing director.
