TOHO has released a trailer for the upcoming Detective Conan: Hyaku-man Dollar no Michishirube anime movie. The new footage includes a look at Toshizou Hijikata, the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi, who is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda.
A “juumonji” visual was also released.
Detective Conan: Hyaku-man Dollar no Michishirube is scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 12, 2024. It is the 27th Detective Conan movie. The plot involves Kaito Kid and Heiji Hattori, a katana concealing a “‘truth,’” and a “decisive” scramble for a treasure.
The Detective Conan manga by Goushou Aoyama, titled Case Closed by Viz Media, began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994 and has 104 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. The TV anime premiered in 1996, while the first anime film was released in 1997.
The previous Detective Conan movie, 2023’s Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine, is the franchise’s top-grossing film with an all-time rank of 18 on the Japanese box office chart.
