Although I usually try to avoid generalizations, you probably agree that men are much more comfortable expressing anger than admitting anxiety. They perceive anger as a form of claiming control, which is often based on the role modeling of their parents.

But as hard it may be for men to admit, they also worry, fear, and struggle with insecurity and lack of self-worth just like everybody else. And they also experience headaches, insomnia, and physical pain caused by unexpressed, internalized stress. It took me years to understand that my father’s temper was driven by a constant undercurrent of anxiety and insecurity.

To cope with emotional challenges, men are more likely to use alcohol, drugs, and workaholism, which only masks the underlying problems and opens the door to further anger outbursts.

According to the statistics, about 1 in 5 men will have an anxiety disorder at some point in their life journey. However, doctors fear that the actual number is much higher since men are less likely to seek help and admit their struggles with anxiety or any negative emotion.

This is where my work comes in. Having dealt with anxiety for the first 30 years, I understand what it means to be a man in a world where emotions come across as weak. I have made it my mission to help those struggling with anxiety find empowering, transformational solutions to outgrow their challenges and discover a healthier, happier, and more confident version of themselves. Anxiety is not a life sentence but an opportunity to address our past, replace limiting beliefs that held us back and remember that who we are is so much more than we were made to believe.

If you want to be inspired by men who had the courage and strength to ask for help with their anxiety, join me for this third and last episode of male clients talking about their healing journey and where they find themselves now after working with me.

And of course, if you are ready to make this shift in your own life and embrace who you are, sign up for a free zoom or phone consultation with me to talk more about your challenges and how my breakthrough program can help you overcome them.
