Do you want a motivating list of goals, that consists of things you know you can actually achieve in the near future? Well, in this post I’ve rounded up 100 life goals which are a little bit more realistic than the usual lists.

I’m a huge advocate for setting smaller, achievable goals and writing them into lists.

It’s an awesome feeling when you can tick things off and it gives you even further incentive to do more.

These 100 life goals are for the every-day person, rather than the person who wants to become a CEO or earn a million quid.

They are for people, like me, who wish to enjoy life a bit more and learn some new things, knowing that they don’t have a spare few thousand pounds to spend on a world trip and would rather set goals they can stick to.

Hopefully you find something among these 100 life goals that will give you a little spark of inspiration.

How to stick to your goals

Sticking to your goals is the hardest part. It’s easy setting them but actually following through can be tough.

One thing I like to do when I have a goal in mind, is to come up with an action plan.

I break down all the components of how I’m going to make it happen, think about all the possible barriers and think of solutions to those. I then work out a date/place/time I’m going to be working on my goal.

Let’s take this blog for example.

Last year I wanted to get accepted into an ad network that required me to have double the amount of the visitors I was getting at the time.

I needed to a) work out exactly how I was going to make it happen b) think of the possible barriers I would face and c) work out when I’m going to work on my goal.

This led me to figure out that a) I would need to learn more about effectively building traffic, write a lot more content and build a better marketing strategy. b) That I might end up compromising quality of content to create a larger quantity of it, but my solution was to write a few shorter but good quality posts to fill my content calendar c) that I would work on it during my twins’ 2 hour nap window and every evening for a few hours.

It took me one month to achieve this goal because I had a proper plan in place.

You can do the same with any goals. Think of how you can achieve them, think of barriers and solutions and then set a date and time.
