Beef Teriyaki is a classic dish that combines the rich flavors of beef with the sweet and savory taste of teriyaki sauce. This recipe takes it a step further by infusing the steak with a homemade marinade, ensuring every bite is packed with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of teriyaki beef or looking to try something new on the Blackstone, this recipe will be a hit!
Beef Teriyaki on the Blackstone Griddle
The key to this beef teriyaki recipe is in the marinade. By combining ingredients like pineapple juice, soy sauce, mirin, and red miso paste, you create a marinade that tenderizes the steak and gives the steak a flavor that is hard to beat. The addition of white vinegar and dark brown sugar balances the flavors, while garlic and ginger add a spicy kick. Sesame oil, sesame seeds, and green onions round out the flavor profile, making this marinade a complex and delicious base for your teriyaki beef.
Marinating the steak is a crucial step. For the best results, let the steak marinate for at least 4 hours, or ideally up to 12 hours. This allows the flavors to fully penetrate the meat, resulting in a more flavorful dish. Once marinated, the steak is cooked on a Blackstone grill, giving it a wonderful char and smokiness that complements the teriyaki flavors perfectly.
The cooking process is simple yet effective. By preheating your Blackstone to medium-high heat, you ensure that the steak cooks evenly and gets that desirable sear. Flipping the steak halfway through cooking is important for even cooking, and making sure to separate the meat if it sticks together ensures each piece is perfectly cooked.
