the End of the Year -Top 10 Recipes of 2023
Welcome to my annual year in review! Looking back on 2023, some of my most beloved and reliable recipes found themselves in your regular rotation once again, proving the idiom true; “Why try to reinvent the wheel?”
2023 my year in review
I took some wonderful trips in 2023. In March, I visited the Phoenix area with my youngest daughter, where we attended Taylor Swift’s opening show and stayed at a gorgeous resort. I love being in the desert and surrounded by the magnificent vegetation there.
The next plane ride took me to Ojai, California, where I fell in love. (not literally) just with every single thing about that town. It will not be my last trip. I was on a retreat with a phenomenal group of women, and even met Byron Katie while I was there! We hiked and shared and ate amazing food. Sisterhood and lifelong friendships were formed and I am forever grateful.
I extended my stay in California and met up with my best friend in Laguna Beach. We stayed at the most amazing hotel that was over the Pacific Ocean. I watched the sunset then slept to the sound of the ocean crashing beneath my balcony and woke to see the sunrise each morning. It was glorious!
Family
Our family had two new additions this year, two grandsons! Making our count three! They are such a sweet bunch of boys and I am so very blessed! This Christmas they were 22 months, 8 months, and 7 months old. So much fun!
We are incredibly grateful to have all of our children close – the furthest away being only an hour. We see them often, and continue to enjoy our big Sunday night family dinners!
