Something else that I love about my air fryer is that I can use few, simple ingredients that I have hanging out in my fridge, freezer and pantry and make them into something that tastes gourmet. A meal or snack that you can NEVER go wrong with is air fryer chicken nuggets! Everyone loves them, they are fantastic when you need to please kids or picky eaters, and they’re super easy to make! They are also healthy and better for you when you use the air fryer to cook them, as they don’t use any oil to fry! This is going to be your favorite of all air fryer chicken nuggets recipes and it’ll quickly become a go-to meal on those busy weeknights when you need something tasty and easy to feed the family!
How to make Homemade Chicken Nuggets Air Fryer
Preheat
Turn on the air fryer and allow it to preheat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix
Add the panko, cheese, paprika and salt to a bowl and mix it together thoroughly. Pour it onto a large rimmed plate. Whisk the egg in a bowl. Add the flour to a separate large rimmed plate.
Dredge
One by one, dredge the chicken in the flour, then egg, then carefully coat it with the panko mixture. Place the coated chicken pieces into the mesh basket of your air fryer. You may want to do this in batches so that the chicken isn’t overcrowded.
Cook
Cook in the air fryer until the nuggets are perfectly crispy and golden brown. DEVOUR!
Serving Suggestions
Cooking up a batch or 5 of these chicken nuggets in the air fryer is ALWAYS a good idea, but they’re even better when paired with some tasty sides! I recommend serving up some gluten free onion rings, or maybe some parsnip fries or even crispy baked sweet potato fries to finish things off!
