How to Make Golden Corral Bread Pudding

To make the bread pudding:

Place the butter and milk in a small saucepan. Milk and butter in a saucepan. Heat and scald the milk and butter together. Remove and set aside. Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the beaten eggs. Stir to combine. When milk is cool enough, slowly pour it into the egg mixture, whisking to make sure that the egg mixture is incorporated without scrambling the eggs. Add bread cubes to the custard mixture and stir carefully. Place the bread mixture in a well-oiled baking dish. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes. Ingredients

Bread Pudding

3 cups cubed French bread1/2 cup butter melted2 cups whole milk2 eggs beaten1/3 cup dark brown sugar1 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt

Vanilla Sauce

1 cup whole milk2 tablespoons butter1/2 cup granulated sugar1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 tablespoon all-purpose flour1/8 teaspoons salt

Instructions

Bread Pudding

Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously coat the inside of an 8×11-inch baking dish with oil.
In a small saucepan, Scald milk and butter together. Remove and set aside. Beat eggs add brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. When milk is cool enough add egg mixture making sure that the egg mixture does not curdle.
Add bread cubes and stir carefully, do not beat. Pour the bread mixture into the well-oiled baking dish. Bake for about 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Vanilla Sauce

Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil for 3 – 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside for 5 minutes. Pour about 1/2 mixture on warm bread pudding and place the remainder of the sauce in a serving bowl for those who desire a little extra. Best served warm, but great at room temperature.
