Apple is bringing the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 back to Apple Store locations across the US beginning today, with the wearables returning to the online Apple Store from tomorrow following the sales ban imposed by the International Trade Commission, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

The US Appeals Court on Wednesday temporarily paused the sales ban affecting the two Apple Watch models until January 10, with the iPhone maker claiming that the ban could cause “irreparable harm” to its business.

The sales ban is part of an ongoing patent infringement dispute over technology related to blood oxygen sensing.

Masimo, a medical technology company based in the US, filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging patent infringement concerning blood oxygen sensing technology. This particular feature was introduced with the Apple Watch Series 6 in 2020, providing users with information about the oxygen levels in their blood, typically sought between 95% and 100%. Despite a hung jury in the lawsuit, on October 26, the commission declared Apple in violation and issued both a US import ban and a sales injunction

According to Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are returning to Apple retail stores in the US today, and relaunching on the Apple online store tomorrow by 12pm Pacific time.
