In a nostalgic nod to the golden era of French gaming, Laurent Benes’ classic adventure “Le mystère de Kikekankoi,” originally published by Loriciels in 1983-85 for the Oric and Amstrad CPC computers, has found a new home on the Apple II. The port, skillfully crafted by renowned retro Apple programmers Antoine Vignau & Olivier Zardini, brings another French mystery adventure to the Apple II world.

Driven on by a passion to exponentially expand the library of captivating French games on the Apple II, Vignau & Zardini set out to port “Le mystère de Kikekankoi.” With the blessing of the original creator, Laurent Benes, and the support of XavSnap and Herve for the Oric and Amstrad versions, the Apple II rendition now takes its place in the lineup. While some differences exist between the versions, the essence of the original game remains intact, promising an engaging experience for players.
