We have 4 nominees for you to consider and to vote for, if you wish

Yesterday, here was a tweet from our good friend Joanna Cards Fan in which she lauded James Conner and Trey McBride as Pro Bowl worthy Cardinals:

In a tough season, Trey McBride and James Conner have legitimately earned the right to a spot in this year’s Pro Bowl.

Help them out by retweeting!@JamesConner_ x #ProBowlVote @mcbtrey x #ProBowlVote

Kudos to Joanna for doing her Taylor Swift best to get fans out to vote.

RB James Conner

If the Pro Bowl voters are intent on selecting the RBs with the most yards, then James Conner would not be in the conversation, as his 717 yards rushing this season is 12th best in the NFC. Missing 4 games has not helped James Conner’s chances. Christian McCaffery and Kyren Williams lead the way with 1,292 and 1,057 yards respectively. If one or both of them wind up going deep into the playoffs, then the NFC may need to tab an alternate.

Where James Conner compares favorably to CMC and KW is in yards per carry:

McCaffery —-5.3 Williams —- 5.1 Conner —- 5.0

While McCaffrey and Williams lead the NFC with 92.3 and 96.1 yards rushing per game, James Conner is among the next three in the NFC:

David Montgomery —- 77.7 Saquan Barkley —- 72.5 James Conner —- 71.7

Montgomery has a chance to go deep into the playoffs. And if a Pro Bowl alternate assignment comes down between Saquon Barkley and James Conner, Conner has more TDs (5 to 4) and fewer fumbles (0 to 3).

Pro Bowl Odds: slim Pro Bowl Alternate Odds: long shot, but possible

TE Trey McBride

There are not many tight ends in this league that could make a catch like this.

Calling Trey McBride a future star is NOT an overreaction. pic.twitter.com/A8N42OOnB1

Trey McBride averaged the most separation (5.4 yards) of any tight end in the NFL in Week 15, per @ZebraSports.

Where Trey McBride currently stands among NFC Tight Ends:

T.J. Hockenson —- 902 yards, 9.9 ave., 5 TDs George Kittle —- 865 yards, 15.7 ave., 6 TDs Sam LaPorta —- 758 yards, 10.7 ave., 9 TDs Trey McBride —- 712 yards, 10.8 ave., 2 TDs

Pro Bowl Odds for Trey McBride —- slim

Pro Bowl Alternate Odds for Trey McBride —- possible, depending on how deep the top three TEs go into the playoffs.

Amen on James Conner and Trey McBride, Joanna. We could also make a very strong case for Will Hernandez and Matt Prater. https://t.co/Chpq0LTYVC

Very good additions, Hernandez has had a great season and Prater is one of (if not the) best in the biz!

G Will Hernandez

Will Fernandez finds himself in good company PFF grade-wise with the leading vote getters at guard in the AFC and NFC:

Zack Martin DAL —- 71.1 Kevin Zeitler BAL —- 69 7 Will Hernandez ARI —- 69.6

K Matt Prater

Matt Prater versus the NFC leading vote getter at kicker:

Jason Myers SEA —- 28/35 FGs, 80.0%, 28/28 PATs Matt Prater ARI —- 23/26 88.5%, 16/17 PATs

While NFC kickers Brandon Aubrey (DAL), Cairo Santos (CHI), Jake Elliott (PHI), Chase McLaughlin (WAS) and Younghoe Koo (ATL) have slightly higher FG percentages, when the Pro Bowl committee considers alternates, Matt Prater’s outstanding percentage of made 50+ - 60+ yard field goals, could separate him from the pack.

ROTB Poll;

Ho-Ho Ho Merry Christmas my cherished friends. As Tiny Tim would say, “God bless us, everyone!”
