Arkansas transfer linebacker Jordan Crook announced his commitment to Arizona State after a visit a week prior. The sophomore linebacker registered 40 tackles, 1.5 for a loss, one sack and a forced fumble in 25 games played and two starts in two years in Arkansas, but will likely see much more playing time with the lack of depth ASU has at the position.

The former three-star high school recruit out of Duncanville High School in Texas now holds two years of eligibility.

Arizona State lost Will Shaffer midseason, Juwan Mitchell was dismissed prior to the season and transfer linebacker Tate Romney played a major role at the position. ASU currently has six scholarship linebackers on the roster, with the goal to eclipse eight or nine.

Given the need, Crook will have a shot to compete for starting position in 2024.
