Amber wanted something a little bit nontraditional and laid back for her wedding to Kyle. She didn’t want to wear a white dress, so she wore a gold shimmery dress- simple and understated but gorgeous! Their two dogs were a huge part of their relationship. So, they decided to get married at Poco Diablo in Sedona, which is a very dog friendly resort, with not only their two dogs but also guests’ dogs were also invited! This is my kind of wedding- dogs everywhere! The stunning red rocks towering above the green grass and weeping willow tree near a beautiful white and red gazebo flanked their ceremony. Everything in their wedding was thoughtful and intentional. Amber surprised Kyle with a wedding ring she made herself- something as a fellow former jeweler, I could definitely appreciate! Amber’s sister, a botanist, decorated their centerpieces with potted succulents and the tree slices were taken from Amber’s parents’ home where she grew up, swinging from the tree. I absolutely love when clients incorporate meaningful and sentimental details such as those- it makes your details so much more meaningful and representative of who you are and your relationship, rather than just taking ideas off wedding blogs or Pinterest. Amber & Kyle and their guests had a rocking dance party during their reception too which was amazingly fun to photograph!
