What happens this week?
Jonathan Gannon returns to Philadelphia for the first time to face a defense that has really struggled this year in his absence, but he’s not exactly boasting a great defense of his own as the Arizona Cardinals take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia for an early Sunday morning tilt.
Philadelphia has been struggling until this last weekend where they held on in their Christmas Day win over the New York Giants who benched Tommy DeVito in favor of Tyrod Taylor.
Taylor out on a good show against the Eagles defense that had given up 34, 42, 33, 20 and then 25 the last five games where they are only 2-3.
That 2-3 record is after a 9-1 start.
Jalen Hurts has not looked the same since his MVP level play of a year ago.
Meanwhile, the once ferocious Eagles defense, who finished eighth in points allowed and second in yards allowed now sits at 25th in points and 20th in yards allowed.
Quite the fall.
Can the Arizona Cardinals take advantage? Will the defense be able to get enough stops to give the offense a chance?
It should be an interesting one in Philadelphia on Sunday.
