Nowaske could be a promising young addition to the team’s ILB group

Today the Arizona Cardinals announced that they were awarded a waiver claim on former Lions’ LB Trevor Nowaske, a 2023 CFA from the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals.

Nowaske played in 2 games for the Lions this season (started the year on PS, then was signed to their active roster in November and was waived yesterday). He took all of his game snaps on special teams. His special teams PFF grade was 67.5.

Pre-Draft Measurables

6 ft 2 1?2 in 237 lb 4.50 40 6.75 3-cone 34.5” Vertical 25 reps at 225 lbs.

These numbers for an inside linebacker are very impressive.

College Stats:

232 tackles 5.5 sacks 20 tackles for loss 5 interceptions 1 forced fumble 10 PBUs

Lions’ fans have been very high on him and were hoping he would clear waivers. Enter Cardinals’ assistant GM Dave Sears. Once a Cardinal in college, he’s now a Cardinal in the NFL.
