From January to June 2024, ‘The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour’ visits art galleries, libraries and schools — in over 200 regional and remote venues from all 77 Queensland Council areas — where children and families can participate in activities developed by QAGOMA’s Children’s Art Centre in collaboration with the Brisbane-based artist Natalya Hughes.

Grotesque designs are characterised by hybrid forms made up of parts of animals, plants, and other shapes.
The Kids on Tour program provides this creative content free of charge to communities throughout Queensland.
Since 1998, the Gallery has collaborated with more than 310 Australian and international contemporary artists and the Children’s Art Centre at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is a leader in developing interactive projects, activities and publications that engage children with contemporary cultures, artists and ideas.

The exhibition ‘Natalya Hughes: The Castle of Tarragindi’ is also at the Children’s Art Centre, Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) Brisbane until 14 July 2024.
