Following his participation in a workshop with civic and business leaders, facilitated by the Royal Society last week, Ammar had a busy week connecting, supporting, and promoting the whole community in the North East.
Scaling Up - On Monday, Ammar was part of a scale-up institute catch-up, helping develop and deliver the scale-up strategy for the region with other patterners. Ammar is the SME representative for the NELEP and plays a critical role in this initiative alongside others. Newcastle United V Milan – Ammar displayed his unwavering support for Newcastle United during their UEFA Champions League clash against AC Milan at St. James' Park on Wednesday, 13 December 2023. Despite a hard-fought match, the final score ended 1-2 in favor of AC Milan. Northern Business Podcast – On Wednesday, Ammar featured on Northern Business podcast live, talking about optimism and opportunities to tackle some of the problems we face in the North East, including the way Saudi Arabia is forging more business links with the UK through the international trade centre at Airview Park. All things Start-Up Finance – On Wednesday Ammar delivered the second workshop for the NSBS programme to businesses in Northumberland, concentrating on how to finance a start-up and the important things startups need to know in regards to finance. Innovation Event – On Tuesday, Ammar attended the celebration of innovation for the North of Tyne hosted by by The UK's National Innovation Centre for Ageing where there were a number of pitches from different businesses, Ammar was the head judge and keynote speaker on the day, he delivered an insightful speech centred around inclusion as innovation and shared details of our upcoming ‘Inclusion by default conference’. Discussing Devolution - Ammar and Jodie Nichols hosted the Health and Life Science Pledge Christmas event with Health and Innovation North East and North Cumbria, focusing on devolution and awarding four new pledgees their certificates. Ammar is the chair of the Health & Life Science Pledge Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria.
