We booked this 3 star hotel via booking.com. It offers free cancelation which is what I was looking for in all the hotels I booked during our trip in Japan. According to the map, it was 13 minutes walk from Shinjuku station, but I tell you that 13 minutes walk is okay if you do not have any luggage or bags with you. We thought it’s near but it’s not and it’s tiring if you need to drag or carry your stuff.

But it’s near the bus and train station, which unfortunately we did not use when going there for the first time.

I like that they have a bar/restaurant upon entering and we noticed that there are a lot of foreigners dining and drinking there. There’s also a long table near the counter that some used to charge their phones and laptops. Checking in was quick since you can do it via the stationed machine. You don’t need a card to open the door also, you only need the code printed in your check-in form.

Internet connection was fast in this hotel. We were given 3 single beds which is okay with me, but not with Ren. The room is 21sqm, it’s a bit small compared to Ueno First City Hotel but it’s okay and I like that the room was not that cold. The location or the neighborhood of this hotel is also quiet.

The bathroom has complete amenities just like the other hotels we’ve been to but it’s a bit small also and the floor is elevated. There’s no view from our room because it is situated in the ground floor.

We stayed here for 2 days and 2 nights and I like that they refill our water and coffee supply every day. Plus they also change our towels. They also kept our bags after we checked out for safekeeping.

I think I was able to sleep here more than the first areas we’ve been, but not enough to say that I am well rested.

This hotel is near Shinjuku Chuo Park and the Metropolitan Building which you can visit for free. The Metropolitan Building is famous for their cityscape view of Tokyo so take advantage of that if you stay here.

I like that there’s a nearby McDonalds, 7/11, Family mart and Sukiyaki in the area and it’s not that crowded. I will still consider to stay here next time.
