Book Your Tickets Early for Ice Magic: Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Weekends and school holidays will be super busy, so make sure to plan accordingly.
Where to Park at Ice Magic: Parking is available at the Bayfront open car park and the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes parking lot (Blue Zone). Remember it’s the holiday season and parking at Bayfront and MBS is super packed. You will need to allocate enough time to find parking and walk to the Bayfront event space. Make sure to plan accordingly so that you have enough time at Ice Magic.
Bring an Umbrella: If you park at MBS or even if you are walking over, make sure you have an umbrella in case it is raining. You will need to cross over to the Bayfront event space, which is not covered. You do not want to be wet when you enter Ice Magic because if your clothes or hair is wet, you will be even more cold!
Arrive early for your Ice Magic time slot: To avoid the crowd, arrive early for your designated time slot and try to go on a weekday!
Lockers Are Available at Ice Magic: Lockers are available for a fee for your personal items. Bags are not allowed inside. If you are planning on shopping at the Marina Bay Shoppes – do it afterward, as the lockers are not that large.
Don’t Forget Socks: Bring a pair of warm socks from home for your winter ice experience. This can often be overlooked, especially if you are dressing for summer weather. Socks are available for purchase if you forget.
Dress for Snowy Cold Weather. Even with the big puffer jacket that’s provided, it is still very cold inside Ice Magic. The puffer jacket does NOT have a hood. Make sure to wear long pants, warm socks, long-sleeved shirt, hooded sweater/sweatshirt, and if you get really cold like me, an extra jacket. I was wearing a faux fur hooded jacket under the puffer jacket which kept me nice and toasty warm.
Wear Winter Boots: If you have winter boots, wear them! You will feel more comfortable in your own shoes. However, my son didn’t really seem to mind the rental pair.
Wear Warm Gloves: If you are touching the snow and making snowballs (probably the kids), you will need snow gloves. Normal gloves will soak through and get wet. Snow gloves are available for purchase at Ice Magic for $20 a pair, but might not fit a small child. If you are taking pictures (like me), you will need gloves that allow you to use your phone, otherwise plan on wearing only one glove. I wore normal wool gloves and was fine.
Bring a Tripod/Selfie Stick: If you want to take some fun family pictures, make sure you bring your tripod and/or selfie stick. Also, remember to charge your phone!
Where to purchase Food and Drinks: Food and drinks are not allowed inside. For the full winter experience, hot chocolate and other hot drinks are available for purchase as you exit Ice Magic. Located right outside of Ice Magic is a Winter Food Village, that also serves halal options. Alternatively, I recommend making a reservation to your favorite restaurant at MBS – remember it’s the holidays and restaurants book up well in advance in Singapore.

Ice Magic is a fun family experience and a way to experience the snow in Singapore without having to travel for the holidays. We had a super fun time making memories and bonding in the snow!
The whole winter wonderland experience made me appreciate the warm, tropical Singapore weather a lot more (LOL).
Hope you have a fabulous winter in Singapore! Happy Holidays!
