Christmas is coming! Just last week we put our tree up and it gave me such joy to put up these beautiful ornaments that we made ourselves at Resin Play! This is the third year running that we got to make our own resin ornaments and it’s such a joy to see them on our tree.

Each year, Elaine comes up with something different and pretty for Resin Play’s Christmas ornament workshop and this year was no exception. Best of all, it was a lot of fun!

Mei with her jesmonite in-fills, in a swirl of colours After a short wait for the in-fills harden, we placed removed them from their moulds and placed them in the bauble mould to encase them in resin Made a pikachu (and dino) for Natenate!

As it takes about one day for resin to dry properly, I had to go back the next day to pick up our ornaments. Can’t deny that I then spent some time browsing the shelves to pick up some resin kits to work on projects on our own at home! We had used the Blooming Alcohol Coaster Starter Kit during Circuit Breaker and had a lot of fun with that so I’m looking forward to making more resin items!

Mei and I really had a lovely afternoon at Resin Play putting our latest Christmas ornaments together. Resin Play’s Christmas workshops for December are mostly sold out but they just released one more date (10 December!), plus January dates for other fun resin workshops so do check out the workshop list to book.
