This week, the Cancer Full Moon is not as scary as it sounds; Venus seduces Neptune and Pluto and enters freedom-loving Sagittarius; the Sun’s trine to Jupiter offers lucky breaks just as Jupiter turns direct; Mercury, Mars, and with Neptune encourage visualization combined with action; and April answers a listener question about where friends are found in the birth chart. [1:17] Venus trines Neptune (Dec. 25, 9:15 am PST) at 24º09’ Scorpio-Pisces. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 25 Scorpio, An X-ray, and Neptune is on 25 Pisces, The purging of the priesthood. This combination of Venus and Neptune offers the chance to love and accept others for exactly what they are.
[3:31] Moon Report! The Cancer Full Moon (Dec. 26, 4:33 pm PST, 04º58’ Cancer) is on the Sabian symbol 5 Cancer, An automobile wrecked by a train. It’s not as scary as it sounds!
[4:39] This Full Moon point receives supportive aspects from Jupiter and Saturn. The Sun’s degree is on 5 Capricorn, Indians rowing a canoe and dancing a war dance. Take note of the balance between your home and family life versus your public reputation. Protect loved ones with all you have.
[6:48] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This is the Full Moon in a LPFC that began at the New Moon on June 28, 2022 at 07º22’ Cancer. The First Quarter in this LPFC came nine months later (March 28, 2023), and the Last Quarter on Sep. 24, 2024.
[8:29] Void-of-Course (VOC) periods. On Dec. 25, the Moon in Gemini opposes Mercury in Sagittarius (11:55 pm PST). It’s VOC for a little over seven hours, then enters Cancer on Dec. 26 (7:15 am PST). This is a VOC Moon period for rewriting patterns related to how our hearts collaborate with our minds.
[10:13] On Dec. 28, the Moon in Cancer opposes Pluto (2:57 pm PST). It’s VOC for just about 1 ½ hours, then enters Leo (4:23 pm PST). There are only so many ways we can fully protect ourselves from emotional hurt.
[11:04] On Dec. 30, the Moon in Leo trines Mars in Sagittarius (9:18 pm PST), it’s VOC for about 1 ½ hours, then enters Virgo (Dec. 31, 3:53 am PST). This is a time to think about how you can more closely align love and joy with action and work.
[12:08] Mercury retrograde squares Neptune on Dec. 26 (11:42 pm PST) at 25º Sagittarius-Pisces. This is the second of three Mercury-Neptune squares, the first on Nov. 27, 2023, the last on Jan. 8, 2024. Clarity is possible but you will have to work for it.
[13:38] Mercury retrograde makes a conjunction with Mars at 24º21’ Sagittarius on Dec. 27 (4:31 pm PST). The Sabian symbol for this degree is 25 Sagittarius, A chubby boy on a hobby horse. Imagine the outcome that you’re hoping for but put some actual action behind it as well.
[15:41] On Dec. 27 (7:28 am PST), the Sun trines Jupiter at 05°36’ Capricorn-Taurus. This is a combination that shows Capricorn’s hard work, diligence, and determination paying off and gaining some kind of reward.
[17:10] On Dec. 28 (2:15 pm PST), Mars squares Neptune at 25º02’ Sagittarius-Pisces. The Sabian symbol for Mars is 26 Sagittarius, A flag bearer, and Neptune is on 26 Pisces, A New Moon that divides influences. Although we want to stand up for what’s important to us, we have to accept that others have their own ideas and their own beliefs.
[19:31] On Dec. 28th (10:00 pm PST), Venus sextiles Pluto at 29º16’ Scorpio-Capricorn. Venus is on Sabian symbol, 30 Scorpio, A Halloween jester, and Pluto is on 30 Capricorn, A secret business conference. An effective way to engage with those who are in control is to be the jester.
[21:12] Venus enters Sagittarius on Dec. 29 (12:23 pm PST, through Jan. 23, 2024). Take pleasure from the places, culinary delights, experiences and people that you don’t normally spend time with.
[23:10] Jupiter stations direct on Dec. 30 (6:40 pm PST) at 05°34’ Taurus. It’s been retrograde since Sep. 4th when it turned retrograde at 15º34’ Taurus.
[23:51] Now, it’s turning direct on Sabian symbol 6 Taurus, A bridge being built across a gorge. As Jupiter turns direct, we will find more opportunities to get together with others and share our ideas. Jupiter will be direct through Oct. 8, 2024.
