So you’re looking for easy Halloween crafts. You want the bonding time, the smiles and laughs, and the sweet memories. And you want them without the meltdowns, messes, and monsters that look like your kids, right? I’m with you. Also, if you are in Atlanta, I have 4 can’t miss Halloween events that should be on your calendar.
Look at my babies from 13 years ago!My idea of easy Halloween crafts includes items I already have around the house and can be done in the 20 minutes I have while the chicken nuggets bake. Also, no glitter. ever, ever! The best ones work for kids of all ages, don’t really need parental supervision, and make super cute decorations. Check out some of my favorite easy Halloween crafts both you and your kids will adore.
Happy Fall y’all! While you are busy getting your crafting on, be sure to have plenty of food and drinks on hand. Juice boxes, cups with lids, and snacks like popcorn, crackers or cut up fruit are typically great for all ages.
But first, check out my 3 rules for crafting with kids.
6 Easy Halloween Crafts
1. Spooky Ghosts
Make things even spookier around the house this Halloween by creating these ghosts from empty Juicy Juice juice boxes and just a few materials you probably already have around the house! They are super cute. Hang them on your staircase railing or put them on your mantle.
2. DIY Monster Mash Up
This Halloween make some “monsterpieces” with your kids! This is one of those easy Halloween crafts that help to let your creative juices flow. These little creatures are sure to kick this year’s spookiness up a notch. There’s so much you can do with these not-so-scary little guys. You can use them as a spooktacular Halloween display around the house or give them as a “treat” to teachers, grandma, neighbors or friends. You can even glue a popsicle stick to the bottom of your monster and turn it into a puppet! Puppet show anyone?
3. Vampire Bats
This Vampire Bats craft will help you get ready for a spooky Halloween! These Juicy Juice Vampire Bats are a great activity to do with kids to help you prepare for a fun and hopefully haunt free night! All you need are some everyday craft supplies and just a few minutes and you’ll be ready to go!
4. Make your own pumpkins.
When you want to carve pumpkins but you don’t want to actually carve an actual pumpkin, this is the craft for you. It’s so simple it’s absurd. Just buy styrofoam pumpkins at your local craft store along with googly eyes and fun stickers. Use markers, paint and whatever else you want. Or don’t. That’s cool too.
5. Spooky Shadows
Add some atmosphere to your Halloween party and activity time. These Halloween Box Lights can turn any wall into a haunting display that is a fun conversation piece too. All you need for this are some juice boxes, a pair of scissors, and this template!
6. Pet Monster Rocks
The hardest part of this craft is finding the perfect rocks. The truth, though, is that it isn’t that hard! After you’ve finished painting them, set them up around the house. Stage a Broadway “rock” show, or use them like puppets. How you use your little monsters is up to your little one! These colorful little pals will brighten up your day and provide some quality time spent crafting with your kids. I added mine to the border around my garden and smile whenever I see them.
4 Favorite Halloween Events in Atlanta
After you are done with all your fancy crafting, why not find a fun Halloween event to check out, too? If you are in Georgia, there are some fantastic options!
Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest, Kids Boo Fest, Oktoberfest. There are three ways to have fun this fall at Six Flags Over Georgia. Bring the kids during the day for trick-or-treating, rides, and not-even-a-little-scary fun. Then send the little ones, under age 13, home and get ready for a chilling night of scream-tastic fun. Once dusk hits, the haunted houses, scare zones, and ghoulish activities start. Six Flags is saying that the 2023 Fright Fest is scarier than ever. My crew can concur! Not into any of that? Then eat and drink your way through the park’s Oktoberfest. Do not miss the pierogis! Yum! Stone Mountain Park Pumpkin Festival. Play by day as you enjoy family-friendly park attractions and special fall entertainment featuring some of your favorite classic storybook characters! Then, you’ll glow by night with fun events and activities for all! Don’t miss the World’s Largest Pumpkin Light Show! Event runs through October 29. College Football Hall of Fame’s Haunted Hall of Fame.
