As a work-from-home mom of 5 (AND it’s summer break with the kids out of school) I desperately needed an escape. So when I was invited to join some local bloggers to visit The Escape Game at Battery Park Atlanta, for a Girls Night Out, I jumped at the chance.
The Recipe for a “Great Girls Night Out” is friends, food and of course Fun!
Friends:
Date Nights and Family Fundays are great but sometimes you need a Girls Night Out. Together there were 12 of us from the Association of Bloggers, Georgia Chapter, and it was a night to remember! We divided up into two teams of 6. One team went to Gold Rush, and the other team (my team) went to Special Ops: Mysterious Market, which is right up my alley because it involved a little bit of traveling!
Food:
No one wants to be H-angry, especially during an escape room challenge. We met up for drinks and appetizers during Happy Hour at Atlanta Sports and Social located in the Battery and within walking distance from The Escape Game. Sports and Social is a two-level sports bar, gaming parlor and social lounge.
Fun:
I escaped! But even if I hadn’t, it would have still been a lot fun!
Do you want to escape too? It’s simple.
1. Head on over to TheEscapeGame.com. You can can choose from 13 locations (currently) with Atlanta being their newest location.
2. Choose your Adventure. There are 5 rooms to choose from: Gold Rush, The Heist, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, Prison Break andPlayground. Reservations are highly recommended.
3. Start your Adventure. You should arrive 15mins prior to your game start time. The games are 60mins but if you arrive late, you might not get the full 60mins to escape. You check in, sign a waiver, and will then be escorted into the room of your choice, where you will be given basic instructions. You don’t have to book the whole room )if it’s a date night or if you have a small group) but there may be other guests in the room, to create an overall team. Most teams are comprised of 8, with the Playground able to accommodate 12.
