7. Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University
Oh, hail the illustrious Florida A&M University! Rattlers striking from the top as the #1 public HBCU. FAMU exudes Black excellence, brilliance, and community. Take a tour and learn more about the university’s long-established history such as; The Marching 100 Band, Eternal Flame, and the Meek-Eaton Black Archives Research Center and Museum. #FAMUly is the essence of Florida A&M University, the innovators and groundbreakers across every field.7.
8. The Bradfordville Blues Club
A stop not to be missed on your visit to Tallahassee. Soak in all the funky, rhythmic Blues tunes in this “one-room cinder block “juke joint” featuring nationally recognized acts, a dose of folk music history, plus mouthwatering fried catfish.
9. The Grove Museum
Tour the Call-Collins House of The Grove Museum, a landmark created on the land of Indigenous people, built by enslaved persons in the 1830s, and preserved to celebrate, remember, and learn more about its storied history.
