Sooooo… I’ve fully ignored this blog for far too long, because, magically, work has picked up to a pace where I can barely keep up with it, let alone anything else.
HOWEVER, things have really been cookin’ in 2022, and this is a great place to recap it all for you!
AUDIOBOOK NEWS:
I’ve completed my first (and second!) solo narrations for Penguin Random House: QUEERLY BELOVED (releasing 5/3) and GO HUNT ME (releasing 6/14)!
I just wrapped narration on another wonderful title for Dreamscape Audio: THE PHYSICISTS’ DAUGHTER (releasing 6/14).
I’ve added Blackstone Audio to the cadre of producers for whom I now narrate, and I’ll be recording THE BRIDESMAIDS UNION in May (releases 6/14)!
AND… I’ll be co-narrating HOW NOT TO DROWN IN A GLASS OF WATER for Macmillan Audio (as well as directing it) in June (releases 9/13)!
I’ve directed too many titles this year to count (already!), but some standouts were LIARMOUTH: A Feel-Bad Romance by THE John Waters, GROWING UP BIDEN by Valerie Biden Owens, and ALL THE WOMEN IN MY BRAIN (and other concerns) by Betty Gilpin for Macmillan Audio, as well as GO GENTLY by Bonnie Wright for Harper Audio.
AND IN NEWSY-TYPE NEWS…
First, I got mentioned in a BookRiot article: 10 Audiobook Narrators You Need to Follow on TikTok
THEN, I got contacted by the DailyMail (UK), who interviewed me about a series I do on TikTok called “Literary Manshaming,” where I read snippets from published male authors writing (poorly) about women. (I’m a viral sensation!)
AND THEN, I was invited to join Zerlina Maxwell to talk about sexism in literature! (WHAT?)
It’s been a wonderful, unexpected first quarter of 2022, and I’m simply rolling with the punches and enjoying the ride!!
